IMSLE Pty Ltd: Terms and Conditions:
- Entry into IMSLE courses are via an application process
- Any deposit or payment made to IMSLE Pty Ltd is transferable but non-refundable
- IMSLE reserves the right to prioritise, accept or decline an application at their discretion
- IMSLE may cancel an approved applicant at any time
- IMSLE will offer an alternate training course if a presenter falls sick or ill for a scheduled course shortly before the course is due to start
- It is the responsibility of IMSLE to deliver the course and supervise progress throughout the set course duration
- It is the responsibility of each accepted applicant to view the IMSLE course structuring and ongoing course requirements prior to applying. (IMSLE website)
- It is the responsibility of each applicant to understand the IMSLE course structure and to work towards successful completion of the 12 months IMSLE Associate course. (IMSLE website)
- The IMSLE practicum component needs to start no less than 6 weeks after the requirements are received. If this is not possible, communication must be made to IMSLE within the 6 weeks explaining the reason/s in writing via email.
- The IMSLE practicum component is guided. Each trainee is expected to keep in regular contact with Advisors and act on the advice and feedback given. This may include amending IMSLE lesson materials accordingly and/or following a devised plan to completion and or being extended.
- IMSLE does not approve the use of a commercial 'program/programme's sequence. The aim of the IMSLE course is for teachers to be guided and supervised by IMSLE. The outcome of the IMSLE practicum is for teachers to learn how to plan and teach a logical sequence. Research is drawn from Archer and Hughes, Vygotsky, Rosenshine and Sweller to name a few
- An active IMSLE trainee is defined as a trainee who is actively teaching their approved focus student and keeping in contact with requirements on a regular basis. Any lapse in communication over 6 weeks will mean a trainee is marked inactive.
- Inactive trainees may apply in the IMSLE Refresher course to resume their practicum and coursework.
- Extensions to complete the IMSLE MSL course are permitted, so long as you are currently active in your practicum and have kept regular communication with IMSLE. An extension request must be made in writing via email within 3 months (no later) of your original course completion date. IMSLE must also have a record of i communication from you outlining any potential delays or obstructions that may contribute towards requesting an extension
- IMSLE cannot be held responsible for any obstructions which may cause any applicant to not complete the MSL course (any of the components) within the time frame of either the 5 days or the 12 months.
- IMSLE at their discretion may terminate an applicant that IMSLE deems unsuitable at anytime, during the duration of the MSL training and or coursework over the 12 months
- All IMSLE materials and resources allocated to course attendees remains the intellectual property of IMSLE
- Where IMSLE deems an MSL participant unsuitable due to misconduct; calumny, vilification, libel, slander or traducement (oral or written). No refund or partial refund will be applied.
- Successful applicants can apply to the Australian Dyslexia Association for individual accreditation via Associate membership, this is known as AMADA. Numerous benefits are included under AMADA membership. Further information can be accessed via ADA Professional Memberships. (ADA website)

- No refunds are applied once a place has been accepted
- Any deposit or payment made to IMSLE Pty Ltd is transferable but non-refundable
- Where IMSLE deems an MSL participant unsuitable due to misconduct; calumny, vilification, libel, slander or traducement (oral or written). No refund will be applied.
- COVID 19 IMSLE Policy: Options in the event that a known COVID surge restricts a face to face course proceeding.
- Approved applicants will have the opportunity to secure a place via MSL zoom (live) with the same dates OR an attendee may choose to transfer to a later MSL course date.
- A requested refund will be considered prior to starting for unforeseen medical incidents and or debiliatting accidents, this will incur a fee of $250.00 per attendee
